Physical Description: Adam's most distinguishing feature is his eyes, which are a vibrant shade of blue. They are set into an expressive, better-than-average (he says) face, equally suited to both exaggerated deadpan delivery and emotive, passionate speech. He keeps himself fit and his hair regulation - the better to fit into the Starfleet mold while on duty.

General Overview: Adam is an inquisitive and quick thinker with a hair-trigger mouth which he admits can occasionally cause - and sometimes even solve - problems. He finds his duties for Starfleet engaging and as such gives 110% to his work. For Adam, the pleasure is not only in finding things out, but in using that knowledge as cleverly as possible. His general attitude is somewhat laid-back however he knows how to follow an order and at least give the appearance of military professionalism.

Personal History: Adam was born on a far-flung colony world called Norfolk, and it was there he spent his first nineteen years. He jokes that while living on Norfolk, he learned three things:

1) The joys of isolated colony life,
2) The best ways to find out about life in more exciting parts of the universe, and
3) How to operate a barbecue.

At nineteen, he left Norfolk and traveled for three years before finding himself out of money in Sydney, Australia, Earth. Shrugging, he enlisted in Starfleet as much for the chance to continue traveling as for the chance of seeking out and exploring strange new women at the Academy. Here, his self-taught research skills proved a credit to him as he accelerated to the top of his graduating class, specializing in Command.

He was quickly approached by Starfleet Intelligence after graduation on the strength of his traveling experience and asked to continue doing what he'd been doing before enlisting - traveling and learning, acting in the role of wandering colony escapee he'd been for real three years before. This time, though, he'd have a contact to report to and a solid source of income. The work wasn't always easy or safe, but he continues to count his days as an undercover SFI wanderer as some of his happiest - or at least he would, if he was allowed to talk about them.

At 28, Adam elected to hang up his traveling shoes and moved to active duty within Starfleet. His first real post, aboard the USS Ranger, was successful and rewarding, even if the uniforms were hard to readjust to.

As a shipboard intelligence officer, Adam sees his duty to be to bring the complete picture to his shipmates - and if that means beaming down in civvies and getting into a bar fight to get the story, so be it. He is equally at home in orbit with a PADD and dirt side, with an ear to the ground.
